Woud

Woud is a studio serving as a source for Scandinavian design that remains true to its design roots but continues to push towards innovation. This talented studio has curated a fantastic collection of work from talented designers doing just that. 

Woud provides designs for the home consisting of mirrors, shelving, storage, furniture and accessories. All of the work is expertly crafted and beautifully finished. The Scandinavian origins is evident in much of the work,  primarily consisting of a minimalist colour and material palette that we are all familiar with. Many of the designs have an additional aspect that takes it into a unique, non-conventional realm. The single support of a shelf or the addition of a clock to a mirror provide a new take on a well established design style. 

Providing an outlet for these new perspectives allows new designers a chance to gain exposure for their talents. Studios like Woud also  allow inspiration for other designers and deepens the conversation about the definitions and capabilities of design. Spreading the word and impact of good design is definitely critical in a time of mass production and such a consumer heavy culture. I'm so thankful studios like Woud exist and provide exposure for such great work.
