Julian Watts

Julian Watts is an artist that has found a way to combine the worlds of art and design through his work. Watts uses traditional techniques to carve sculptures of numerous wood varieties while also exploring ways of making his sculptures into functioning objects. 

His explorations result in work that is wild and intriguing and very elegant. Watts' work creates questions about the relationship between the ability of function and art and if they can successfully coexist in the same work. I believe he is proving just that!
