Future

As a new year begins there’s a tendancy and even a pressure to set lofty goals. In recent years I’ve made an effort to set ‘goals’ as it feels less daunting and I’ve also made goals that are truly obtainable like getting a new haircut or having a beach day.

Which brings me to why I chose this quote from Malala Yousafzai. With smaller, more achievable goals we can make those dreams an actual reality. With that come energy and a feeling of accomplishment and sometimes that leads to more achievements. ‘I did that, so now let’s see what else I can do!’, it’s a great motivator and then perhaps things that didn’t seem quite achievable will be.

But at the same time, dream big and try to make those dreams happen. It’s definitely worth the work but don’t forget to be proud of what you’ve already achieved. Happy New Year!
