Sotela

‘Sew Fabric’, the meaning of Sotela is a small, Los Angeles based design studio dedicated to creating designs that are inclusive of all walks of life.

Sotela believes in embracing all body types, this can be seen in the modelling of their garments. Their Instagram feed and website are full of all body types, races and ages. Inclusivity is the fundamental core of Sotela. ‘Made by humans, for humans’ is how Sotela approaches their work within the fashion industry. They design for all genders, ages, races and bodies, they celebrate our diversity rather than try to dictate what our bodies ‘should’ be like.

Sotela’s garments are all ethically made in safe environments and fairly paid. Their work with manufacturers is seen as a collaboration rather than service.

Sotela embodies what I truly hope will one day be the norm in the fashion industry. A space of creativity, acceptance and empowerment. Thank you Sotela for being so incredible.
