Nina in April

The embroidery designs of Nina in April are a lovely take on modernising a traditional craft. My gran did embroidery for years so I know it well but those were mainly flowers and cottage scenes, with more flowers. What Nina in April achieves is fun and inspirational while still maintaining the intricate and detailed work that is integral to fibre art and design.

I especially love the bananas. How fun is it that this antiquated hobby has moved so well into the 21st century and continues to be such a creative outlet for so many. I makes me so happy to see people hanging onto these traditions while still making it their own. Thank you Nina in April for your fantastic work.
