reste

I finally made it to a shop I have been itching to visit for as long as I can remember. Based in southern England, Hastings, reste is wonderfully curated shop that is full of amazing things.

Within this small little shop, rest has an array of homewares and lifestyle items. Live plants, dried flowers, trays, cutting boards, knives and soaps are just a few things that you can find. All of the objects at reste have been carefully selected for their quality in production and design awareness. It is through this attention to detail and quality that rest hopes to encourage people to invest in what they purchase with the intent of owning for a long time, the antithesis of our current throw away society.

My hope is that shops like reste become less bespoke and rare and eventually are the typical way the people shop in the not so distant future.
