I have to admit that I have never really thought of Portugal as a hot spot for design. I recently discovered origin in my Instagram hunting and I’m so very glad I did.

The intent of origin is to bring the beauty and the talent of Portugal into the design world. The exquisite hand made wood, stone, glass and metal pieces are so delicate and earthy while still modern and contemporary. Inspiration and materiality are taken from the Portuguese landscape and heritage. This makes for a series of pieces that are tranquil, refined and wonderfully textured.

I’m so impressed with all the pieces in origin’s collection and I can’t wait to see what else they share with us. And furthermore, I have learned to never discount a place for having the ability to create incredible design.
