Indigo Arrows

The designs of Indigo Arrow are close to my heart. Puling inspiration and techniques from her Indigenous heritage, Indigo Arrows creates designs for textiles that are simple, vibrant, traditional and modern all at the same time.

I love the subtle ways that artefacts from Indigenous groups across Manitoba influence the designs she creates. The colours she uses are rich and vibrant. Each design is truly beautiful and unique.

The intent of Indigo Arrows is to bring Indigenous history and craft back into people’s homes rather than behind glass in museums. Being from Canada and knowing the history of our relations with Indigenous groups it’s important that Canadians and everyone knows the true history of the world before them. We need to acknowledge and celebrate this part of our histories and what better way than to have it in your home connecting with it on a daily basis?
