Loyal Loot

Loyal Loot is a fantastic design studio located in Alberta Canada dedicated to designs that withstand the test of time. Their designs are minimal in the way they alter the inherent qualities of the material they work with.

The log bowls they have created are such a fantastic study in colour but also in the size, textures and colours of the natural wood they use. All of these logs are sourced from sites where the trees have fallen naturally or are removed due to infrastructure.

The wood collar hook is a stunning piece of functional sculpture which to me is a fantastic example of when art and design work together to create something phenomenal. The collar is also just another example of Loyal Loot’s dedication to the natural beauty of the materials they work with and letting them shine.

I love seeing a large group of these bowls as I feel that they represent the diversity of Canada in its landscapes, species but also its people. A truly Canadian Design.
