ILK + ERNIE

The fashion studio of ILK + ERNIE is doing an incredible job of reducing the negative impact the fashion industry has on the environment. Each year I+E goes to India and selects fabric for their design that is discarded by factories and would otherwise end up in a landfill. Their amazing work continues into the factory they work with in the creation of their designs. This factory is certified as ethical and fair to its team. People are treated well, paid fairly and you can even see photos of their lovely faces on the ILK+ERNIE website.

ILK+ERNIE designs are a great combination of chic and sophisticated with a bit of fun. The fact that their designs are so timeless also adds to the fact that their work is environmentally conscious as it will stay as part of your wardrobe for ages. Something we all need to do more of.

I’m so pleased that ILK + ERNIE is out there doing such beautiful and positive work within such a criminal industry. It gives me hope that change is happening, slowly but surely.
