MONC

Founded in London, MONC is a spectacles and sunglass collection that is not only contributing amazing design to the eyewear industry but has also found a way of reducing its impact on the environment.

MONC frames are made using a bio acetate which results in an acetate product that is actually compostable! It’s an incredible science which allows for design that is both functional and beautiful but also responsible.

Another fantastic piece of MONC frames is their use of glass for their sunglass lenses. Glass is significantly cheaper to recycle than plastic adding to MONC’s reduced impact on the planet.

MONC aims to be zero waste and they are clearly on their way to that. On top of having such responsible products their designs are also just really great. Each design comes in such a great selection of colours and the shapes and forms of MONC designs are sophisticated, classic and chic.

After reading about all of the amazing things MONC is doing for the design world and for the environment there really is not excuse for other designers and other industries to follow suite. I’m so energised and grateful by MONC commitment to conscious design.
