Ellen Mae Williams
Ellen Mae Williams is a London based textile designer with a deep commitment to the environment.
Using natural materials and natural dyes, Williams creates designs that interpret the environment through the use of mark making. The results are these wonderfully striking designs that replicate vegetation and the earth we see around us but in two dimensions. The layering of colour and patterns create a sense of depth and movement in each piece which again feels so amazing given the the single surface they appear on.
I love Ellen Mae Williams’ commitment to challenging the industry they work in to save and support the environment while still doing what they love. It is my sincere hope that everyone can reach that eventually in their career and it’s so inspiring to see it happening already. Thank you Ellen Mae Williams!
